Northern California Fertility Medical Center has been helping families grow since 1992, making them one of the most established and experienced fertility practices in the region. Based in Sacramento and recognized by Newsweek as one of California's top 10 fertility clinics, NCFMC offers a full range of reproductive services including IVF, egg freezing, genetic testing, egg donation, surrogacy, and male fertility care.

The Genesis Group is proud to work alongside NCFMC as a trusted affiliate clinic. We are a leading egg donation, surrogacy and sperm donation agency, facilitating safe, ethical fertility journeys since 2003.

Our job is to connect and match intended parents like you to vetted, high-caliber surrogacy and donor candidates, coordinating all of the travel, communication, and complexities between your clinic, attorney, and more.

The Difference Between a Fertility Clinic and an Agency

A fertility clinic like NCFMC typically handles the medical side of your journey. Once you match with your egg donor, sperm donor or surrogate, your clinic will conduct all of the medical procedures, including:

  • A final medical screening of your donor/surrogate to test for unforeseen risks, genetic incompatibilities, etc.

  • Baseline and monitoring appointments

  • Treatment planning

  • Your egg donor’s retrieval, sperm donor’s deposit, or surrogate’s embryo transfer

An agency like The Genesis Group handles everything outside of the medical process. If your path to parenthood involves a surrogate or an egg/sperm donor, we leverage our database of hand-picked donors and surrogate candidates to find your perfect match, offering guidance as you browse individuals in our program.

Once you match, we focus on managing your relationship, coordinating communication between all parties, navigating the legal process, and providing ongoing support from the initial match to birth and beyond. All the while, your clinic and agency will work in parallel.

Many intended parents come to us already working with a clinic or having been referred by one, but we’re happy to walk you through your options and help you get started.

Pursuing Surrogacy Alongside Your Treatment at NCFMC

For intended parents who need a gestational carrier, the process of finding and matching with a surrogate typically begins through the agency, while medical preparation and screening happen at your clinic.

We manage the surrogate search, pre-screening (based on all obtainable medical records and a review from a third-party Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist), matching, legal coordination, insurance, and support throughout the pregnancy. Your clinic manages the medical protocol, the embryo transfer, and the monitoring of the pregnancy on the clinical side.

The two teams coordinate to make sure nothing falls through the gap between the medical and the non-medical, and you have a clear point of contact on both sides at every stage.

Pursuing Egg Donation Alongside Your Treatment at NCFMC

If egg donation is part of your path, many intended parents work with an outside agency to access a broader pool of donors, additional matching support, and agency coordination throughout the process.

At Genesis, we work alongside fertility clinics on egg donation cycles regularly, providing our expertise and database of healthy, vetted donors to intended parents looking for the right match.
